CEZA head, Sec. Raul Lambino, was a speaker during the culminating ceremony of the 27th North Luzon Area Business Conference (NLABC) held on May 18, 2018 at the LausGroup Event Center, San Fernando, Pampanga.

The event is said to have gathered over 600 delegates from all over North Luzon, including Ilocos Region, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley, and to have the biggest and most organized NLABC in 30 years. Rene Romero, Vice-Chairman of Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry that hosted this year’s NLABC, shared his positive thoughts about the anticipated economic boom in the area, with Pampanga now “experiencing the spill over of Metro Manila and big players now eyeing us as their next prospect.”

NLABC is an annual business conference organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCIA) aimed at informing, inspiring and motivating businesses to stimulate local economic growth. The event was keynoted by former President and now Second District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo who shared and discussed the government’s “Megalopolis” plan.

The three-day event included a regional trade fair, seminars, networking and business-matching sessions, invitational golf tournament and a plenary sessions led by AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, top Filipino economist Dr. Bernie M. Villegas, and Department of Public Works and Highways Undersecretary for Planning and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Dr. Maria Catalina E. Cabral, among others.
