“Kadugo Kita, Sagot Kita Kahit pa Pandemya” bloodletting activity kicks off in Santa Ana, Cagayan

By: Media Relations Office – Mandaluyong

The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Santa Ana and the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) recently held a bloodletting activity with the theme “Kadugo Kita, Sagot Kita Kahit pa Pandemya” at the Santa Ana Municipal Gymnasium last September 15, 2020. The main objective of the said activity is to intensify its advocacy on voluntary blood donation for the provision and allocation of safe blood supply, sustaining its adequacy, ensuring accessibility and promote life-saving activities like donating blood.

Republic Act  No. 7719 commonly known as National Blood Service Act of 1994 aims to create public consciousness in the importance of voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation in saving the lives of millions of Filipinos especially this time of the COVID 19 pandemic. A total of one hundred nine blood donations have been successfully collected and shall serve as blood deposit for the people of the municipality in their future emergency needs.

The bloodletting activity is part of CEZA’s continuing effort in helping other government agencies and LGUs in delivering basic services to the people and community as a whole.
