With newly constructed warehouses and offices and improved port facilities, importing and exporting at Port Irene in Barangay Casambalangan, Santa Ana, Cagayan has become easier and more convenient for all port users.

Supervised by the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA), Port Irene is the main port in the Cagayan Valley Region which is envisioned to be a major transshipment hub for the import and export of raw materials and/or finished products from and to China, Japan, Korea, and other neighboring countries.

To realize this vision, Port Irene has undergone major renovations and upgrades. This includes the creation of an additional four (4)-unit warehouse with offices with a total area of 5,640 sqm, and two (2) four (4)-unit warehouses with offices with a total area of 5,760 sqm. It aims to provide better facilities for warehouse/storage and office requirements of CEZA locators, registered business enterprises, and accredited port users.

In addition, CEZA also undertook the installation of Port Irene facilities such as truck scale, laydown area, and docks/berths that are expected to enhance Cagayan Freeport’s import and export activities.
