The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority thru its Community Development and General Services Divisions gave its full support in the conduct of the Bloodletting Activity initiated by the Rural Health Unit of the Local Government of Santa Ana, Cagayan and in coordination with the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) blood bank team last October 25, 2021 at the Municipal Gymnasium, Santa. Ana, Cagayan.

A total of 181 bags of blood were successfully collected from the various participating government agencies and friendly forces such as the Philippine Navy (PN), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Marine Battalion Landing Team (MBLT), CEZA employees, LGU employees, and other donors from Santa Ana, Cagayan who also gave their full support to this life-saving activity.

This initiative aims to promote voluntary blood donation to provide sufficient supply of safe blood and to inculcate public awareness that blood donation is a humanitarian act.

The activity was conducted with everyone’s safety as top priority following the Covid19 Health Protocols and Guidelines.
