CEZA grants license to Singaporean fintech firm

THE Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) has allowed a Singaporean financial technology (fintech) company to offer fintech solutions and offshore virtual currency exchanege services.

In a statement on Thursday, 6X Digital Asset Trading Platform (6X.com) said it secured from CEZA a license to offer its services in the country after passing stringent probity and integrity tests.

“We are happy to be granted the license to offer financial solutions and offshore virtual currency exchange services to our global customers. We are glad to have the support in the Philippines and be part of the government’s master plan to establish a clear cryptocurrency ecosystem in the country,” 6X.com’s International Vice President Vanessa Ko said.

The firm has more than 1 million global users in more than 100 countries and has a transaction volume of more than $200 million daily.

Its platform can support 2 million transactions a second and accommodate 20 million users simultaneously. It also supports several languages, including English, Chinese and Thai.

6x.com allows users to buy and sell unlimited cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum and ripple. Iis one of the top 20 digital asset exchanges worldwide.
