The Casagan Community-Based Tourism Project was launched on April 2016 with the objective to showcase the use of “takuli” or wooden boat when tourist go for bird watching at the stretch of Tangatan River. The Kulinarya De Casagan is the association who will handle catering services to tourists featuring local dishes like native tinolang manok and bamboo shoots. Aside from that, they were able venture in kakanin making – “bibingka” or the traditional rice cakes. This delicacy is served with rice coffee which is also being prepared and cooked by the women members.
