Lambino announces modernization of Ceza

SANTA ANA, Cagayan: Auguring a new era of modern business facilities, the Cagayan Economic Zone and Freeport Authority announces the near completion of the multibillion worth of various infrastructure, equipped with digital technology.

Secretary Raul LambinoCagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) administrator and chief executive officer, said the state-of-the-art three-story commercial building and another three-story corporate center were ready for use, starting September this year.

“The facilities are both equipped with internet connectivity, which will be used by companies engaged in cutting-edge, digital-based financial technology solutions and other enterprises to include supermarkets, banks and outlets of various products,” he said.

Lambino, who is also President Rodrigo Duterte‘s adviser for Northern Luzon, conducted an inspection of the various infrastructure projects here that coincided with the blessing of the various vehicles and equipment, recently procured by CEZA.

He said these equipment will augment the agency’s services and operability in the free port. Among these were new dump trucks, an ambulance unit, a fire truck, a low-bed transport truck and several pickup trucks.

“CEZA is [full steam ahead], building new infrastructure and modernizing our port facilities to accommodate larger vessels in the near future,” Lambino said.

He was in this town also to inspect ongoing retrofitting work on the 49-year-old Port Irene and the newly completed road and bridge section of the port that would provide a turnaround route for trucks, hauling cargo.
