CEZA HOLDS MEDICAL AND OPTICAL MISSION, JOB FAIR IN SANTA ANA, CAGAYAN

As part of its 27th Founding Anniversary celebration, the Cagayan
Economic Zone Authority conducted a Medical and Optical Mission and Job Fair at the CEZA Commercial Center, Santa Ana, Cagayan on February 21, 2022.

The medical and dental mission provided includes blood-pressure reading, free medical and pediatric consultation, and eye examination from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Philippine Army, Bureau of Fire Protection Tuguegarao City Dental Chapter, and RHU – Santa Ana medical doctors.

Volunteer private medical practitioners who are also bonafide residents of Santa Ana also assisted in servicing the medical needs of the recipients. CEZA and the medical team also gave medicines, vitamins, eyeglasses, eye drops, and others.

Almost 400 indigent residents, adults, and children from the 16 different barangays of Santa Ana have availed themselves of the free medical and optical activity.

Meanwhile, in line with CEZA’s mandate and continued efforts to provide job opportunities in Cagayan and its immediate communities, a simultaneous Job fair was also held in the same venue.

The job fair was conducted by the CEZA Labor and Employment Office (LEPO) with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Jobs for local placement are customer service representatives, nurses, video presenters, information technology technicians, card dealers, casino shufflers, steel detailers, heavy equipment operators, housekeeping, cook, waiter/waitresses, and front desk officers.

CEZA locators, which include Alpha Fortune Management Inc., Succeed Asia Ventures Inc., Pacific Solutions Management Consultancy Srvices Inc., KUI Busines Services Inc., Empire Group Internasional and Management Technology Services, Eastern Hawaii Leisure Company Limited, Top Asia Leisure and Entertainment Corporation, IKIMOTO Trading, and IKONA Drafting Services, took part in the job fair. Almost two hundred (200) job seekers from nearby municipalities and residents of Santa Ana participated during the activity.

Part of the CEZA Job Fair also included sharing and talks from the resource speakers of TESDA RO2 and DOLE RO2 on Skills Training and TESDA Scholarship Program for Out of School Youth and high school graduates not enrolled as of the moment (for TESDA) and Labor Education (for DOLE).

The Marine Batallion Landing Team 10 Naval Task Group also provided free haircuts to the residents of nearby barangays during the anniversary activities.

The CEZA Medical, Dental, and Optical Mission and job fair were conducted to benefit the local communities, especially within Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP). These activities have
become a means for CEZA to give back to the community.

A Pledge of Commitment to the Sustainability of Marine Ecosystem within the Cagayan Freeport was held simultaneously within and among collaborating agencies like CEZA, MENRO – LGU Santa Ana, Philippine
Coastguard, Philippine Navy, and Philippine Marines.
