The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority has successfully completed and passed the ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance 2 Audit for Quality Management System conducted by Certification Partner Global (CPG) Philippines, Inc. on July 1, 2020, at the CEZA’s three offices, Mandaluyong, Tuguegarao and Santa Ana in Cagayan.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the surveillance audit was delivered virtually via Zoom where CEZA welcomed CPG Philippines, Inc. Auditors headed by its General Manager Melanie L. Olbita.

The CPG Phils., Inc. commended CEZA management’s actions and measures to curb the COVID-19 pandemic such as the procurement of COVID-19 response items, equipment and COVID Testing Packages. CEZA accordingly has been proactively issuing policies and memoranda (both internal and external) and effectively communicating them through information technology and social media platform to ensure that CEZA personnel and locators fully understand the impact of the pandemic and the solutions required to address the situation.

The surveillance audit proved that the implementation of quality management was in accordance with the requirements of the standards.

Also, passing the 2nd surveillance audit validates CEZA’s consistent efforts to maintain its comprehensive quality management system and continuous quality improvement.

Secretary Raul L. Lambino, CEZA Administrator and Chief Executive Officer said that this momentous feat shall again serve as a proof of CEZA’s unwavering commitment to deliver excellent services and ultimately gain the trust of its customers.

He reiterated that the agency has reached greater heights in pursuing continuous improvement of its Quality Management System.

CEZA started its journey to ISO 9001:2015 three years ago and certified on February 26, 2018, which Secretary Lambino described as a significant milestone for CEZA as it proves the agency’s commitment to consistently provide the highest standards of products and services to meet its customers’ satisfaction.

The agency has passed its first Surveillance Audit in 2019 and maintained its certificate since then.

ISO 9001:2015 certification measures the quality of an organization’s processes by reviewing a number of policies and procedures, including strong customer focus, top management, leadership, and decision-making, process approach, and continual improvement.
