The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) headed by the Business Development and Marketing Division successfully hosted the meeting and visit of the Philippine Investment Promotion Plan Technical Working Group (PIPP TWG) at the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport in Santa Ana, Cagayan on June 18-19, 2019.

Mr. Leonardo C. Cruz, Head Technical Assistant to the A/CEO and OIC of Cagayan Offices delivered an opening speech in welcoming the members of the Investment Promotion Agencies ( IPA’s) of the different Economic Freeport Zones and he was able to discuss the upcoming projects lined up for execution. He emphasized that the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport is not only a port town but also a manufacturing center, a center attraction for tourism because of the different beautiful beaches in Cagayan and also other projects of CEZA, the Financial Technology Services for cryptocurrency and bitcoin companies and the CEZA on-line gaming.

Mr. Kevin Liao of the Board of Investments ( BOI) discussed the upcoming Trade and Expo 2019 in South Korea with the objectives and plans for the investment group.

CEZA hosted a very delightful dinner  for the members of the Investment Promotions Agencies ( IPA’s) who participated and visited in the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport.

On June 19, 2019 the members of the Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA’s) were able to visit the Palaui Island and experience climbing another beautiful place, the Cape Engano. The PEPA tourist guide briefed us and gave some advice for safety precautions going to Cape Engaño and also included a short background on the history of the Cape Engaño. The overall experience of the group was amazing and productive and they hope to visit again next time with their families and friends.

The members of the Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA’s) expressed their gratitude to the whole CEZA staff who assisted them during their visit in Santa Ana, Cagayan.
