SANTA ANA, Cagayan, Feb. 28 (PIA) — As part of its 24th anniversary, the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) conducted the first culinary festival at the Santa Ana Gymnasium here earlier this week.

CEZA Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Raul Lambino, said the activity is consistent with one of CEZA’s priority objectives, which is to promote tourism, by highlighting the distinctive cuisine of the province.

The ‘Chef Bianca and Company’ of Tuguegarao City emerged as Champion in the first cook-off while the ‘Agkaykaysa’ of Santa Ana and the ‘Nueva Segovia Cullinaire’ of Lal-lo town placed second and third, respectively.

In the ‘Mystery Basket’ category, participating teams cooked their own choice of menu using the main ingredient found in the mystery basket.

The ‘Agkaykaysa’ of Santa Ana town placed first in the ‘Myster Basket’ while the ‘Chef Bianca and Company’ of Tuguegarao City and the ‘Nueva Segovia Cullinaire’ of Lal-lo town were proclaimed second and third, respectively.
