Global cryptocurrency players are set to meet in Manila next week to discuss risks and possible solutions the industry may undertake.

The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA), in an emailed statement on Sunday, said it will host the CEZA Fintech Summit 2018 where global cryptocurrency players are expected to attend.

Among them are Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb former CEO Richard Jung, Hong Kong Blockchain Association founder Tony Tong, and Hybrid Block founder Rod Jao.

According to CEZA Administrator Raul Lambino, global players will also discuss the possibility of setting up shops in CEZA where they could operate virtual currency exchanges and back offices.

Potential locators are from Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea, and other key markets in Asia, United States, and Europe.

The summit will be held in Bonifacio Global City on May 21 to 22.
