MANGALDAN, Pangasinan, August 28 (PIA) – – The remaining smuggled luxury vehicles currently impounded in Port Irene in Sta. Ana, Cagayan are now ready for donation, according to Secretary Raul Lambino, the chief executive officer and administrator of the Cagashy;yan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA).

Lambino made the pronouncement in a recent farmer’s forum held at the Thrisland Resort in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.

He said those interested units of the military, police, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, local government units, and qualified non-government organizations particularly in Cagayan and Regions 1 and 2 provinces can write letter of intent addressed to his office or in a form of a resolution for availment of the remaining vehicles in Port Irene.

“A committee was created in CEZA to do the necessary documentation and inventory of the vehicles for donation and to do the close coordination with the Bureau of Customs,” Lambino said.

“Once the execution of the Deed of Donation is realized, the donee can take the vehicle for immediate registration to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and pay the taxes due to the government,” added Lambino.

The list of cars for donation includes 18 Hummer cars, 66 luxury sports utility vehicles, and 27 hi-end Toyota-Alphards.
